Privacy Policy
Agentcy is an AI engineering consultancy based in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. This page explains what personal information we collect on this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
1. Who is responsible
Agentcy (Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal) is the responsible party for the personal information described here. Questions or requests: ai@agentcy.co.za.
2. What we collect, and why
- Information you send us — when you email us, message us on WhatsApp, use the booking chat, or submit one of our tools, we receive whatever you type: typically your name, email address, phone number, company, and the details of your enquiry. We use it only to answer you and, if you engage us, to deliver our services.
- Analytics (only if you accept) — we use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation to understand which pages help visitors most. It is switched off until you accept it in the banner, and stays off if you decline. See the cookie policy.
3. Legal grounds
Information you send us is processed with your consent, because you chose to contact us. Analytics data is processed only with the consent you give (or withhold) in the banner on every page.
4. Who else touches your data
We do not sell personal information. Three parties process data for us:
- Vercel (hosting, United States) — serves this website and its logs.
- Google (Google Analytics, United States) — only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Meta (WhatsApp) — only if you message us on WhatsApp; their own terms apply from that point.
Both Google and Vercel operate internationally. Transfers are covered by their standard contractual protections.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept as long as it takes to help you and to meet our legal obligations, then deleted. Analytics data follows Google's own retention settings.
6. Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us to: confirm what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for direct marketing. Email ai@agentcy.co.za and we will respond as the Act requires. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
7. Changes
Any change to this policy appears on this page with a new date at the top.
